Piping Field Foreman
Manages a team to install components at customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Direct, instruct and mentor employees to ensure production and quality goals are met
- Prepare, fabricate, and install mechanical and industrial piping systems
- Promote company standards
- Attend on-site trade coordination meetings
- Communicate with customers and/or other trades to minimize conflict
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of assembly and installation of assigned work
- Complete all assigned tasks quickly, completely, and consistent with quality standards set by the company
- Promote safety, teamwork, and cooperation
- Provide feedback/input regarding employee performance
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience
- Valid drivers’ license and good driving record
- Possess strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively with fellow workers; and demonstrate commitment to established safety policies and procedures
- Ability to direct others in planning and scheduling work execution
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Proven ability to plan, coordinate and execute high priority jobs in a timely manner
- Ability and knowledge to interpret blueprints
- Understanding of materials and tools used in the industry
Requirements
- Perform physical activity that requires considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, walking, balancing stooping and handling materials and equipment
- Able to walk on many surfaces and be exposed to a variety of weather conditions while working on job sites
